PALKO ml., Vladimír: Milan Lovich. From an untrained medic to deputy chief of the intelligence department of the 11th Brigade of the Border Guard
Milan Lovich began his service in the intelligence forces of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs on July 1, 1974. After a brief assignment in the intelligence department of the 11th Brigade of the Border Guard, he was transferred to the 4th Intelligence Group in Komárno, where he served for eight months. However, from January 1, 1975, he returned to the intelligence department, remaining there until October 31, 1979. Subsequently, from November 1, 1979, to September 30, 1984, he was stationed in the 3rd Intelligence Group in Bratislava, where he assumed the role of chief on April 1, 1982. His career reached its peak on November 1, 1984, when he was appointed Deputy Chief of the Intelligence Department. This text follows Lovich's professional trajectory from a committed intelligence officer, engaged in building an agency network, to Chief of the Intelligence Group, actively overseeing operations while participating in fieldwork, and ultimately to his role as Deputy Chief. However, his career progression came to an end with the fall of the communist regime, preventing him from advancing further.
